M\u00e4rz das Juwel bleu, der Bugatti Type 51 Grand Prix 1931 vorgestellt. Fredy Lienhard bezeichnete diesen Schritt als historisch f\u00fcr autobau, da die Motorsportgeschichte und somit die Fahrzeuge bisher Jahrg\u00e4nge ab 1950 tragen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zur Geschichte von Bugatti<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ettore Bugatti (1881-1947) <\/strong>war einer der erfolgreichsten Automobilbauer der Geschichte. Er gilt als Genie und beeindruckte mit seiner charismatischen Pers\u00f6nlichkeit. Geboren in einer italienischen K\u00fcnstler-Familie (Vater Carlo war Architekt und ein Freund von Segantini, sein Bruder Rembrandt war Bildhauer), wurde Ettore Bugatti <u>Automobil-Konstrukteur<\/u> und gr\u00fcndete 1910 im franz\u00f6sischen Molsheim die <strong>\"Automobiles Ettore Bugatti\"<\/strong>. In den Jahren 1912-1933 waren seine Rennwagen kaum zu schlagen. Kein anderer Automobil-Konstrukteur revolutionierte den Rennwagen-Bau so sehr wie Ettore Bugatti. Mit dem <strong>Type 13<\/strong> zeigte Bugatti 1912, dass man mit einem Bruchteil der bisher \u00fcblichen Motorengr\u00f6sse (bis zu 12-Liter) und einem erheblich reduzierten Gewicht nicht nur \u00e4quivalente Beschleunigung erzielte, sondern auch Strassenlage, Bremswirkung und Benzinverbrauch deutlich verbesserte. Ebenso genial war die Art und Weise, wie Ettore seine Autos konzipierte. <strong>\"Le Patron\"<\/strong>, wie seine weit \u00fcber 1000 Mitarbeiter Ettore gerne nannten, ging mit einer eher k\u00fcnstlerischen und intuitiven Art an die Konzeption seiner Autos. Seine Produkte und all deren Details waren nicht nur sch\u00f6n und skulptural, sondern dieser atypische Ansatz resultierte erstaunlicherweise in hoher Zuverl\u00e4ssigkeit und in grossen Rennerfolgen.<\/p>\n<p>1924-1933 war die erfolgreichste Bugatti-Periode. Die neue Generation wurde 1924 mit dem <strong>Type 35 Grand Prix de Lyon<\/strong> vorgestellt \u2013 ein wundersch\u00f6nes skulpturales Rennauto (Gewicht 750 kg, Geschwindigkeit 200 km\/h, mit 8-Zyl. 2000 cc Motor, aufwendige Aluminium-Gussfelgen und viele weitere technische Innovationen), welches gleich im ersten Renn-Einsatz sehr kompetitiv war. Mit den weiterentwickelten Modellen Type 35 B (mit 2.3 Liter Roots-Kompressor-Motor) und 35 C (ebenfalls Roots-Kompressor mit 2 Litern) fuhr BUGATTI auf eine unglaublich dominante Art allein bis 1927 schon \u00fcber 2000 Siege ein. Das permanente Bed\u00fcrfnis nach immer mehr Leistung zwecks Erhaltung der Dominanz f\u00fchrte 1930 zum <strong>Type 51 Grand Prix<\/strong> \u2013 die logische Weiterentwicklung der genialen Type 35 Generation. Mit dem Vorg\u00e4nger Type 35 B waren die Autos weitgehend identisch, beeindruckten jedoch mit einem neuen 2.3 Liter Doppelnockenwellen-Motoren (inspiriert von den Miller Rennwagen). Nur gerade <strong>40 Exemplare<\/strong> vom <strong>Type 51 Grand Prix<\/strong> wurden gebaut (Vergleich:\u00a0 komplette Type 35 Grand Prix Reihe 204 Expl.). Die ersten 3 Fahrzeuge gingen an die Werksfahrer Louis Chiron, Earl Howe und Achille Varzi.
