below-laptop:columns-1 below-laptop:gap-0 children-font-light\">\n        <div  ><h3 class=\"mb-25 newspaper-main-title block font-light\">Weltmeister und Europameister wurden in Romanshorn f\u00fcr ihr motorsportliches Lebenswerk geehrt.<\/h3><\/div>\n        <div  ><p>Die \u201cWall of Fame\u201d des Motorsports wurde am vergangenen Samstag in der Autobau Erlebniswelt in Romanshorn um namhafte Schweizer Welt- und Europameister erweitert. Louis Christen als Konstrukteur sowie Rolf Biland und Markus B\u00f6siger als Piloten wurden f\u00fcr ihre ausserordentlichen Leistungen und Verdienste durch den langj\u00e4hrigen FIA-Kommiss\u00e4r und heutigen Pr\u00e4sidenten von Auto Sport Schweiz, Paul Gutjahr, geehrt. Ohne Vorank\u00fcndigung wurde Fredy Lienhard, dem Gr\u00fcnder des Autobaus, zudem die h\u00f6chste Motorsportauszeichnung der Schweiz verliehen.<\/p>\n<p>Der aus Rorschach stammende Konstrukteur Louis Christen hatte bereits als sechzehnj\u00e4hriger den Entschluss gefasst, Rennwagen zu bauen. Als gelernter Maschinenzeichner erf\u00fcllte er sich diesen Traum, pilotierte das Fahrzeug der Formel Vau gleich selbst und errang auch sofort Siege. 1973 gr\u00fcndete er die Firma LCR (Louis Christen Racing), in der in den vergangen 45 Jahren mehr als 800 Motorr\u00e4der, Seitenwagen und Formelrennwagen sowie Prototypen wie der batteriebetriebene \u00abStromboli\u00bb oder ein ultraschneller Dragster hergestellt wurden. \u00dcber 40 Weltmeistertitel sowie unz\u00e4hlige Siege renommierter Rennfahrer des Automobil-, Motorrads- und Seitenwagenrennsports erfolgten auf LCR-Konstruktionen und -Fahrzeugen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Siebenfacher Weltmeister<br><\/strong>Der aus dem Seeland stammende <em>Rolf Biland<\/em> errang in seiner Seitenwagen-Karriere sieben WM-Titel, gewann 81 GP und rangierte 18mal unter den Top drei an Weltmeisterschaften. Das Gespann Biland\/Waltisperg war schweizweit bekannt und bejubelt. Auch sie fuhren zweitweise auf einem Seitenwagen aus der Konstruktionsschmiede von Louis Christen. Bilands technisches Verst\u00e4ndnis, seine fahrerischen Qualit\u00e4ten und sein absoluter Siegeswille zeichneten den \u00e4usserst talentierten und erfolgreichen Dreirad-Motorsportler aus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;Truck-Europameister<br><\/strong><em>Markus B\u00f6siger<\/em> fuhr in den 90er Jahren ebenfalls Seitenwagenrennen. 1995 beendete er die Weltmeisterschaften auf dem ausgezeichneten dritten Rang. Dem \u00abTeam B\u00f6siger\u00bb, das er als Unternehmer gegr\u00fcndet und begleitet hatte, wurde mit den Fahrern Steve Webster und David James Ende der 90er Jahre zweimal der Weltmeistertitel verliehen. Seine grossen Erfolge feierte Markus B\u00f6siger aber in den Nullerjahren als Werksfahrer an den in Europa so beliebten Truck-Rennen. Er wurde in dieser spektakul\u00e4ren Sportart einmal Europameister und drei Mal Vizeeuropameister.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;Fredy Lienhard erhielt den Auto Sport Schweiz-Award<br><\/strong>Als Verbandspr\u00e4sident von Auto Sport Schweiz sorgte <em>Paul Gutjahr<\/em> an diesem Anlass f\u00fcr eine riesige \u00dcberraschung. Er zeichnete nicht nur die drei genannten Motorsportler aus, sondern \u00fcberreichte dem Gr\u00fcnder der Autobau Erlebniswelt, dem ehemaligen Rennfahrer, Daytona-Sieger und Unternehmer <em>Fredy Lienhard<\/em>, auch die h\u00f6chste schweizerische Motorsportauszeichnung: den Auto Sport Schweiz-Award. Er verdiene diese Ehrung f\u00fcr seine ausserordentlichen Leistungen als Motorsportler, f\u00fcr seine jahrzehntelange Unterst\u00fctzung des Nachwuchses sowie f\u00fcr die Schaffung des Autobaus als Treffpunkt der Schweizer Motorsportwelt.
